About Carl Rytterfalk

Welcome to my blog! I'm Carl Rytterfalk, a swedish photographer who loves everything that is interesting in the world of photography. In 2002 I fell in love with the three layered Foveon sensor and has since then been an addicted user of Sigma cameras. Though I use Canon and Nikon as well. :)

    Hello Carl!

I`m not in Stockholm right now, but….

I`m the Chef de Cuisine of the Swiss company “fotopizza – photography & film making”. We are going to make an industrial docu-film in Umea, from June 14th – June 28th.
We are a Swiss / German / Scottish group of three people- photographers and film makers. I`m the photography guy, and when I`m not using my Mamiya / Phase One gear, I do as much work as I can with my SD14 / DP1 combination, my Scottish photographer mate is working with his SD15. We are not only planning on making this film in Umea, but we will also do lot`s of “the making of” photography with the Sigma gear too. Since I follow your blog regularly, I just like to say: If you have time for a trip and if you are interested in our work, just give me a call and stop by in Umea! You are always welcomed!
    My mobile phone number is: 0041 79 526 0936

Best wishes, and a good night from Switzerland

    Oh, this sounds serious…

Carl whatever you do right now, please don’t start drowning your solitude in alcohol. Remember that alcohol is not the answer – at least not until you posted the first bunch of SD1 RAWs… :P

Here’s a little distraction for the evening from the good old SD14 + 70mm Macro – just love it for B&W:

Just read about the problem with Opera, sorry…

  7. Clive says:

Hej, Carl — that ship looks like kind of a neat place to stay, actually.

    I’m afraid I’m also a little out of range…

But I do remember there are boats to Helsinki, a place you’re unlikely to be bored. Though I’ve not been to Stockholm, somehow always missed, actually I would think you would find a lot to interest there. Maybe people are not by custom ready to talk and interested for it, however, as they are in Helsinki.

  8. Jim Roelofs says:

Carl, whenever you are in Sydney or Melbourne, it’s only a matter of 7 or 3 hours respectively, by car. So call me, and wait. :)

  9. Ricky says:

I will raise you: if Sigma America gives SD1 as prize ( http://www.sigmaphoto.com/50th-giveaway.cfm ) then SD1 will exists, soon.

  10. Endorsement venture ? Can’t be all that bad if it involves the leprechaun gold.

Say when you are in Copenhagen…Or Malm√∂.

  11. Carl Rytterfalk says:

ahhh.. so nice knowing you are out there! :P
Tonight is my last night here in Stockholm and it’s the same thing again – you might wonder if I got any calls yesterday and the answer is no. I got lots of mails from everywhere but Stockholm. :)

But tonight someone have a second chance! :D I did have a good time last night after all, talked to some Italian guy for the whole evening more or less. Nice. :)

  12. Pavel says:

Lesson learned. Next time advertise your trip in advance (especially if you plan to visit Prague so I don’t miss it) :)

  13. Dennis says:
