Sigma acquires Foveon!!

Woaa, it’s really big news! I got an sms today from another Sigma owner saying, “didn’t see that one coming”.. And to be honest, nor did I but I must tell you I’m very excited!! Oh, and maybe you wondered where I went this time and the answer is simple – renovating apartment.. It’s mind and time consuming. I do have some shot from here and there that I’d like to share with you in a day or two. haha. :D Thanks for all emails from everywhere – I’ll answer them as fast as I can.

About Carl Rytterfalk

Welcome to my blog! I'm Carl Rytterfalk, a swedish photographer who loves everything that is interesting in the world of photography. In 2002 I fell in love with the three layered Foveon sensor and has since then been an addicted user of Sigma cameras. Though I use Canon and Nikon as well. :)

All I ask of Sigma is: please help me help you make your X3F API cleaner so that more applications can use the X3F RAW files. Oh, and a full frame 35mm and 6×5 or 6×7 sensor would be great.

Carl, you know why you are the last to become informed by Sigma, don’ you? :D

  4. Spalbird, I know and it hurts! :D And Ingrid.. I KNOW! :D It’s very very cool. I will call them so that a third body includes a Sigma/Foveon Sensor and a Sigma mount! :D

  5. Spalbird, We got your box! wow, man. Not sure what to say. Will send separate mail. :)

    Carl,

I wanted bring you some goodies from Germany first time we met but I wasn’t sure whether we could come into contact, fortunately it was. Next time I came to Gothenburg I wanted fix this problem, and the experience to send you the box from the small office in the small super market only was a lot worth for me…

I really hope you/Linn/your family can enjoy what I sent. This would be almost too much joy for me :)

The way back I brought a suitcase filled with tea for my family – they do like the lemon tea which we can’t get here – and wife and daughters were happy, too …
