120-300. Sigma Photo Pro.
Alright – with my new Mac I had to get started! These are produced with the help of Sigma Photo Pro 3.2 (color shots) and Raw Developer 1.8 (black and white shot). All pictures ends up as 16bit tiffs in Aperture. From aperture I add some final adjustments – sometimes with the help of Viveza and sometimes with a little bit of vignetting etc – it’s mostly for the easy upload to flickr and possibility to add my signature without hazel.
Look, it’s me!! :D 12-24, cokin, SPP + aperture. Sky enhanced with Viveza.

120-300. Sigma Photo Pro. Too warm? Version two.

12-24. Sigma Photo Pro. Cokin filter. (ND Grad)

12-24. Raw Developer 1.8.
All pictures are available as full size shots. Just click each picture.
Now, finally after much searching and research I bought myself a new imac 24″, with 2.8GHz and 4GB of ram – it’s really nice to work with. I’m not sure it’s faster than my old hackintosh but not much slower and no worries about updates! :D That’s worth a lot. I’m currently installing all my software – does take some time to recreate my good old system. :) Soon done. I have calibrated the glossy screen and it seams to be quite nice, very sharp. Some LED backlight that is really really bright. At night it almost hurts even at lowest setting.
And about those posted pictures, it’s not very easy to take them. I had a huge problem with timing. Seeing what I wanted to catch and take the shot at the right moment in high speed with a very wide angle optic is very very difficult. The thing is that when you take the shot of a car (say the american oldie) then the feeling is that it more or less passed when you press the trigger. THEN you probably got it just right. Same with a bridge. It really feels strange, everyone should give it a try. For these shots I used the SD14 and 12-24 + coking filter and ND grad. Not sure what the local police would say if they saw me – I didn’t look in the view finder when taking these (maybe on one or two). :)
Thanks guys for your support and really kind messages. Next post has some shots from Denmark in it. Yooohooo! Hope colors looks ok – not sure the spider calibrates such a glossy LCD correctly. Please give me feedback.
After recovering from my appendix thingi (which took longer than I thought) I had to work on wedding pictures (Denmark) I also didn’t succeed with my hackintosh upgrade as I hoped so now I’m running Windows Vista and I had to redevelop my work flow – now with SPP 2.5 as first developer and then post processing using Lightroom 2.0 – I will sell my PC (mac) and get a real mac. :) I don’t trust what I see at all the same way as I did using OS X and I feel a bit lost.
Oh, Before getting sick I bought an apartment, Linn worked far away and the apartment needed a remake so I decided to keep silent and give Linn a surprise. Now, having my computer issues, meds and hospital visits, lots of pictures to develop and a new apartment to take care of (and all paperwork etc. that that includes) I must say I’ve been too busy for my own taste.
Now, for now I give you some pictures taken when driving. :) I have no idea what these looks like on your screen, I feel my screen isn’t calibrated correctly so if they look way off please tell. And btw – WB is all over the place mostly due to windscreen having a slight color. Tricky to adjust after. :)
Hopefully back soon with some wedding shots.

Tom, this one’s for you and your son Jared! You’re a fighter and I’m with you! I hope that many many people will give you hope and more power to fight your MS. I’m also of course happy that Joe McNally wanted to do this for you and at the same time share his knowledge about photography with us. Link to full story!

Antibiotics for another 10 days and recreations trip to the mountains of Norway. I can’t move very well so it will be walking with dp1 and just take it easy. Need to listen to my body more, hehe.. :)
So if I’m lucky then I have wifi near the cabbin so I can post some, if not then you know why!
Several days ago I went thru a smaller nightmare. My appendix was infected on my way home from Denmark. I think stress was one factor. Before I realized what it was I went to a birthday party and ate lots of good food, only that I didn’t keep it. Started to think It was bad food, or too much coffee. No sleep. Next morning I went to my grandmothers 86 years birthday and my dads brother was there, he’s a doctor. I ask him what it could be and he thought it might be the tummy dummy (before I knew the English word I used that one) then my dads sister she’s into foot therapy and started to give me some very very painfull massage – she had a very different school from her brother the doctor.
Soon my temperature went up and off I went to the hospital. Now I’m still here but without my blind gut. Life is soo much better now. :) the picture here is taken with the iPhone and by my little brother Per. Picture was taken with lots of painkillers in me. :)
Tomorrow I’ll be on my way home and can start to look at some pictures from the Danish wedding – I know there are some really really nice ones. You’ll see.
