Jon and Carolina | Wedding session

SDIM0820

Another really fun wedding session, this time a bit north or everything in a town called Mariestad - more famous for it’s fine beer. It was a bit tricky as Linn is now working down south as a guide on a castle and she couldn’t be my assistant. I really wanted that - so we improvised and used the best man for the job. Lucky for Jon and Carolina, it worked great! You can actually see him on several shots.

Oh, I also improved my car shooting style thingi - fun stuff! Lucky for me we had the time needed to play.

Cameras used was SD14 and DP1 - I had many lenses with me - more or less all but I ended up using the trusty 12-24 the most as I love the cokin filter border effect so much. Second place I think is 30 or 50mm 1.4 not sure as 50 is so new for me I tend to reach for the 30mm. 120-300 does give me joy when needed. It’s not very easy to find good occations or locations for it but when it’s time then it’s great!

I also noticed a slight magenta cast in some of the “just out of the church” shots - just so you know. :D

When open the whole article more pictures appears as well as some whom has been shown already above. Don’t be frightened about that, it’s perfectly normal.

Wordpress on iphone..

This is great although not ready for prime time. I just successfully had to trash a long article because the “save” button vanished. Better keep this short if it happens again. :)

For a guy like me with a broken computer this is perfect, will save me energy and frustration but not being able to add images from Flickr makes it a tad less useful. Maybe for future updates? *blink, blink* :P

And no support for Swedish special letters has to be fixed. :)

iPhone 3G update. After some real use.

I bought it the night it was released, the iPhone 3G and I initially reported some issues that made me uncomfortable - now I just have to add somethings that makes me very happy about it and one is the protective glass that you touch all the time. It’s more or less bullet proof! It’s really scratch resistant and I’ve had it with me on sandy beaches and given it to clumsy friends with huge nails and tough touch and without giving my little wonder the slightest hint of a scratch.

Now, I red that lots of iPhone 3G users have similar complains that I have about the lagging and so forth but there are two more things that I don’t understand why it’s lacking..

1. Copy and paste. Sometimes hugely irritating.
2. Sending a contact to someone else. WHY can’t I do that?!

These two combined gives me headaches sometimes. You want to send contact info to a friend. You can’t so you create an email or SMS to send with the number, you try to copy the number so that you can paste it into your SMS/Email - you can’t! So you end up using a pen and paper. Woooaaaaaaa!!!

Please Apple, fix this. Or I have to jailbreak it. ;) oh, and btw -  already bought 10+ apps from the app store. It’s too simple to buy all those wonderful apps and games and whatever they’re.

Problems..

About two weeks ago I had a disturbing OS crash - as some of you know I built my own mac computer and it was so fast and so good until I decided to get myself a iPhone 3G. Now you wonder what that has to do with my computer, you see the iPhone needs to talk to iTunes 7.7 which will install only if you have the very latest update of the OS X operating system. So I tried to upgrade from my 10.5.2 perfectly working system to 10.5.4. Without luck.

Now I’m still working on a solution to my system - there is a cool new way to make it work that I’m working on (thanks to the people over at Osx86) - hopefully it’s up and running in a few days. Until then I do have some silly iPhone 3G pictures on my flickr account uploaded to test some applications I downloaded on my vacation.

I’m acually impressed with this little camera. It’s not very high resolution but it gives a pretty real picture. Better then most higher resolution mobile phone cameras. These are mailed up one by one to the flickr server from within the iphone. cumbersome but working. There is lots of apps coming that will make it easier but most of them cost some. I don’t wanna pay just yet. :)

oh, I realized now that the size is not 2MP - they’re being resized before upload. hmm. didn’t ask for that one. so click one and you’ll get a 800×600 copy.

First day with my iPhone 3G. Impressions. update.

Before I start, most people write about what’s good and cool about the iPhone and I could do that - there are plenty of pages I could have written about what I like! (extreme build quality, nice screen, good sound etc etc) But I want Apple to be aware of some things that I really don’t like - and I also want to know if others have the same experience or if it’s just my phone. I did try the first gen iPhone a couple of times and also the iPod touch so my experience with older devices are somewhat small but nonetheless these issues that I have are very real and probably not what Apple intended.

Oscean trip..

Rainy day going out with my little brothers boat. Windy and dark sky made my day. Light changed rapidly as sun sometimes came throu and I must say there is lots more easier tasks than correct white balance a day like this. :D - So bare with me. Btw, we went out to fish - the only fish we saw was this one. (see below shot)

And above shot shows myself doing one of those - don’t know how to behave in FRONT of the camera. I really do have a problem with that. Behind me is Xiao Gang - the guy that I used to live together with during some of my years in China.

Minath Tirith?! No, it’s some huge river flow balancing tool. They do look monstrous.
