Hi Carl … nice test … yes glass can lower contrast by quite a bit from what I know.
Can you please tell me if the 18-50 was the MACRO version?
How you compare it with 17-70?
I would like to know what you think.

Agree.. The smudge isn’t very nice. :D A TAD hard to get rid of it using photoshop. hehe

Fine example of what the SD14 can do. Love the texture. Well lit. Don’t love the smudge/flare around her face, but you did say you were shooting through a dirty window…
