Kitchen - Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm. f4.5. ISO50. 3s
Developed using Raw Developer 1.71 “Auto1″ used for colors. Exposure + 0.5 in RD. AutoPano Pro used for putting these together (It’s sooo easy to work with.. greaaaat tool!). Manfrotto 303 Panohead used. Slightly miss aligned.
Bedroom - Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm. F8. ISO50. 6s
Developed using Raw Developer 1.71 Grey picked from paper on desk. This was my second try and I worked a bit harder to align the pano head better. :)
These was shot at night (an hour ago or so) so nothing else than mixed indoor light. Click for higher quality. I know that I over exposed quite a bit, I could have saved some more highlight. Especially on that second bedroom shot or if I used ISO100 I would have gotten so much more. But quick and dirty and fun. :)
The RAW Developer 1.7.1 update was released today and features completely new image processing algorithms for the Sigma SD model cameras. Hopefully, these changes resolve all crashing issues with the X3F file format as well. The release is available for download here.
Color rendering for the Sigma cameras should show major improvements and special noise reduction processing has now been implemented to better handle higher ISO images from these cameras as well. A couple items of note related to the new Sigma specific changes: Continue reading ‘Raw Developer 1.71 released. Letter from Brian Griffith.’
We have some puppies (nine of them) that we’re selling. This is a small information video in Swedish that we will use in the online ads that we put out. I filmed an hour ago and cut it together in the new iMovie app. Link to first add.
Here’s three pictures from a wedding I shot this summer. For some reason I don’t remember I had switched to MED resolution (1776×1184) Looking at these makes me think that maybe I would gain something. These are unaltered, just exported from Lightroom. Nothing changed from RAW. For me it looks very much like my old slide-film. I think this feeling is partly due to the use of VPS. (pixels stacked together to gather more light)
Sigma SD14 - ISO100 - Sigma 12-24
RAW Medium resolution (1776 x 1184 x 3)
My sisters husband (Thomas Wetterstrand) found this strange little creature on a straw and I ran to get any camera. I didn’t have my SD14 with me so my little brothers GS400 3CCD Panasonic had to do. (Very important information, not!)
First we thought we had found some sort of alien creature but after a short conversation with google we realized that it was only a parasite (!). Apparently it’s taking control of this poor snail only to be eaten (if seen enough) by a bird. Not sure though if it will eventually kill the bird or only live inside.
I want to show you an interesting comparison between SD14 (4.6MP) and the Kodak 14nx (14MP) which is the only semipro bayern camera that has 14MP and not utilizing a AA-filter (softening filter in front of the sensor).
I just have to show you this one. This shot was taken using ISO50 at the photo fair in Stockholm. It’s shot thru a dirty window with the 18-50. Continue reading ‘18-50 thru a dirty window..’
I’m home now, with a lot of great memories and a nice bundle of prints. :D
Just a quick note to all of you whom would like to be here! The fair is great!!! I have some photos printed by ProCenter here in Stockholm A1 (90×70cm) size and people are pixel peeping like crazy! It really really looks stunning, I couldn’t have got better prints. Glossy and attached to a foamed hard back. Will post some pictures later but I currently have no internet connection.
Also thanks to all of you who came here to say hi to me! It’s been GREAT! :D
English: I will be standing at Foto Fair 07 at the Sigma booth and demonstrate Sigmas SD14. It will probably be possible to buy the SD14 directly at the fair to some fantastic price. The fair is in Stockholm the 16-18th of November ay Factory in Nacka Strand.
This is the largest photo fair in northen europe. :) So BE THERE!
Alltså: Tid: 16 (fredag)-18 (söndag) november 2007 Plats: Factory i Nacka Strand - Stockholm Var: monter A:B10
Fotomässan 2007 är norra europas största Fotomässa. Kom och snacka lite med mig, testa kameror och upptäck en massa kul!
We had lots of fun and after looking thru the resulting bunch of images I found a couple that I’m willing to share. :) Some flower closeups are pictures taken by Linn, and I’m sure some more. Anyways. 27 Photos to look at. If you can’t get hold of Dry Ice and Liquid Nitrogen, this page might help a little. :D
Above flower and a 16MP crop. Both these shots are developed using Raw Developer 1.7 using X3F file. My friend Filip aka Thunderlance had the wonderful idea of bringing dry ice and liquid Nitrogen to my home. We had fun with it. Not very easy to just take picture of / with it.. but we did try. hehe. Will post more soon.
