Monthly Archive for October, 2007
This place is very new and very cool. You can upload as many pictures as you like, as big as you wish but you have to have at least 4MP. (phu!) You can sell your photos royalty free for €25 each or pick your own price.
I like the way they built this site. easy to navigate and easy to keep track of comments and replies. I think it would be good for the “stock image” world to have some of us SD shooters, don’t you think? :D
Add me as your friend if you join, then I can keep track of your photos. One more good thing is that you can use your uploaded photos in “small size” for posting in sites such as this one. for free. :) me like.
Linn just turned 24, a big number for Chinese as it’s 12×2. (her birth year is the year of the Pig, and every 12th year it’s pig’s year). We went to a “fight club” and we filmed the event with my gift to her, a camera (FujiFilm F30).
Music: (updated slightly with another song in the end).
First song is from the French movie Amelie of Montmartre
Second song is from a Marantz stereo test CD.
Third song is Hush with Kula Shaker
I bought a polarizer and went out today to chase colors of fall. I was surprised of how well the BW polarizer worked and how extreme colors and sky turned out. Pictures below with my sister included has been flashed. :)
Camera SD14, Lenses: 24-60 and 10-20. ISO50 – 100
UPDATE #2, two more added: Click each image for 1500px width or height.
This is the third and final part in the series about Jeannette & Magnus. We have covered the preparations for the bride in two sets (Hair and Face) and here, finally we put the Groom into the picture and look at him! :D
Pictures are mainly taken with Sigma 10-20, Sigma 28mm and Sigma 70mm. Camera used is SD14. This last series contains 36 photos. Processed using Lightroom and Darkroom. (read more about them here) – Assistant was Linn (Liu Dong Yun)
All pictures are linked to my flickr album. Half full size images are available there.

This is the second part of the series around Jeannette & Magnus Wedding. This part contains images from a hotel room in Malmö. The bride did her own make up and her best friend was there to assist her. (you saw her in the first Hair serie) – btw, the bride is from Venezuela.
Many of these shots are ISO400 to 800.
This is the first part in a series of three. Hair, Face and finally Together. These images was all taken this last Saturday, 15th of Oct and I used SD14 + four lenses. 10-20, 28mm, 30mm and 70mm.
This first part from the hairdresser contains 19 images. Processed using Lightroom and Darkroom. Some images have been altered using Photoshop. (colors) – click on each one for half, full size.
SD14 ISO50 – ISO800
Lot’s of talk lately about SD14′s high ISO capabilities and I wanna give you some files to play with. I also put together a list of software that you can use in order to develop. Most of them has a trial version.
This time I will not give you as a full package! You select the photo you want to view as RAW and you download that particular shot. Slightly bigger quality shots of these are available on my flickr account. These are developed using Raw PhotoStudio 1.59 for OS X

I’m currently playing a lot with the German version of Raw PhotoStudio Darkroom 1.59. I can’t find an English OS X version yet. If you know, please tell. This flash movie shows high images ISO only, 800 to 1600. It’s not made to show the software too much, much because of language and I feel a bit clumsy still. But I must say that I like it, very much. I will make a test between all four developers. (SPP3, Lightroom, RAW Developer and Photostudio Darkroom). But for now:
Not much to say I guess, it’s so much fun to play with camera from an airship (Zeppelin) It’s remote controlled camera and I’m able to look pretty much 360 degrees around with on ground streaming video. These pictures are all taken with a small Canon S80. 8MP camera. I wish we had the Sigma Dp1 instead.
Equipment used belongs to helicopterview.

This is a pretty different look from the Lightroom developed version. I found Raw PhotoStudio (also called Arcsoft PhotoStudio Darkroom) to do a great job, a Sigma Photo Pro 3 on steroids. You have great color control, great picture control, and you can play with the picture in a way similar to Lightroom. The way of the slider! BTW, click on picture for full size – be aware. Not very sharp. :) Should have brought a tripod or not used ISO50 so much.
Not a very good photo BUT – Here we have one that is adjusted for more correct vertical perspective. Great stuff! You can even remove both distortion and CA (Chromatic Aberration). Very easy to use and VERY fast. Someone said it’s made by the same people who gave us SPP3 and in that case this would be the perfect upgrade for us SPP lovers!
This is ISO400 – click for full size.
ISO50 – wonderful wonderful ISO50. Thanks you Sigma for bringing this to us!

Last pictures are ISO500 (cheep is ISO400) you have great vignetting control and the only downside to this software is the pretty lame sharpening control (not terrible result but..) and maybe black and white control. It works but I’d like RAW Developer implementation better.
I’ll see if I can do a video about this software. It’s worth it. Oh, and full size of all images available on flickr. .
I went out with mom yesterday (sunday) and we decided to pick some mushrooms again. Linn was working which was too bad, nature showed us her very good side. Weather was British and colors very strong – and light low. grrr – sun actually came through one or two times and I tried to do something when it showed but we often sat in the car when it happened.
These are developed using Lightroom, I did develop side by side with SPP3 but Iwasn’t sure which one I liked the best so I went for the easy ride. I did try Raw Developer again and I still like the way it handles colors but it’s so much fiddling to get there. Too much work and too little time.
I will tomorrow end my “product” job – it’s now done and we’re very happy with the result. Next up is a week long real estate photo session.

Horse: Picture taken by Elisabeth Ingvarsson. She didn’t know how AF worked.
