still no news.. :) More questions..

Maybe some of you know if there is a HD rack solution out there? I’m thinking about the possibility to use many hard drives in a tower, without a computer inside and then connect via one FW800 cable or similar. Maybe 4-8 drives would be a nice touch. And easy to change and add drives. Maybe even be able to use different RAID modes. :)

I’m also about to build my own Mac. I’m thinking the magic P4 dual core 802, 2.6GHz processor on an Asus motherboard and a built in GMA950 and well, that would be a good start a guess. Any suggestions? :D

I’m thinking the JaS 10.4.6 installation would do the trick. I do have a legal Tiger so I don’t feel to guilty.

Many-drives solutions don’t come cheap…a few suggestions for you to look at/drool over perhaps ;)

    4-5 disks

    One FireWire 1TB

Dustin carries some enclosures from STARDOM, one for 2 3.5inch discs, FireWire
    ditto for 4 drives

About new workstation…try to chill ’til the end of july. New processors major price cuts…
