Option 140 print | Photos..

Parrot image copyright: Germ Wind

Colorful outdoor canvas.

Water and direct sunshine proof

On a distance it looks great! Coming closer and you start to see big grain. I took a close up image incase you wanted to know what’s truly there! This type of print is often seen in downtown Kunming. Huge commercial prints for mobiles and clothing stores. It’s saturated and vivid. The best usage for a photographer would be to print his favorite picture and put on the drive way up to the exhibition hall! :D Have a big lettered text with his/her name. Wouldn’t that look great? Inexpensive fun! BTW, Black and white doesn’t look to good with this technique.

The smaller picture shows a round hole, these are made for easier usage. You can order with or without. They cost $1/each but four is included in the price. I’m such a nice guy!

This print costs $63 plus shipping. Size 59″ x 82″

Option 101 print! | 59″ x 82″

It’s a beauty to hold a big print like this.

1.5m x 2.1m It’s printed with a NovaJet, it says 1400DPI in the computer but I’m sceptic, you can clearly see the grain if you look close enough. My 100-series prints are not calibrated, only by eye. But if you compare with the original photo, found here! you can clearly see that it looks very true and vivid. Maybe too vivid. :) It’s laminated be default. This process isn’t suitable for black and white. They become too warm.

Due to extreme fine grain and calibrated process Option 301, 201 or 210 is more suited for sell and exhibition.

This print costs $47 plus shipping. Size 59″ x 82″

Option 301 Lambda print | Example!

Matt laminated Lambda print in sunshine.

Image copyright: Germ Wind.

Lamination protects but also takes away some of the original pop from the image. Lamination works better for B&W images. This photo of the photo is taken with my Sigma SD9. No edit in colors, therefore the blue is a little off from original.

Our Durst Lambda 131 prints up to 50″ wide by any length. This machine use pure color red, green and blue laser beams to expose light sensitive photographic paper for really nice prints.

At the moment we use Kodak gloss photo paper, matte is gained by adding a matte lamination. Maybe later we can use a pre matte paper.

Prints like this one cost $25 plus shipping. Size: A1, 23″x 33″

Ao Xianda | 5 photos

One day I was waiting for a friend on one of Kunmings buzzy streets. As I was standing outside a well known pizza store a handicapped person came to me (slowly dragging himself) as he came closer I looked at him and he started to talk.

I kneeled down and tried my best to follow the conversation that had started. It was about many things, weather, names, and God. A big crowed had gathered around us trying to figure out what we possibly could talk about.

My friend arrived and she translated the things I didn’t understand and we exchanged numbers and since we’ve stayed in touch. He have had a very tough life with no support from government or organizations. He can read and write, self tough. He can do simple calculations but never had a teacher so he think it’s difficult.

Here is now five pictures from lunch today with my friend Ao Xianda.
