If I go to any FTP server outside China and download a 1MB file, do you know the speed that I would normally get? I have a 2Mbit connection and very nice speed inside China. I get about 2-5kb/sec.
Now, today I did a test with Gmail. I asked a friend in sweden to send that same file to my Gmail account and I went up a minute later to download. First of all, it was there directly. Second of all, my download speed now was around 50kb/sec.
Sorry, a lot of numbers. But hey, isn’t this strange?!
